Initiatives for WEEE and RoHS Directives
In the EU area, responsibility for the collection and recycling of waste products since the WEEE Directive (August 13rd, 2005) came into effect, requiring the affixing of the WEEE symbol.
In addition, with the implementation of the RoHS Directive (July 1, 2006), products containing hazardous substances exceeding the specified values can no longer be exported from Japan.
In China, the China RoHS Directive has been enforced since March 1st, 2007, and J-MOSS has been enforced in Japan.
Thus, in terms of preservation of the global environment, there is a growing interest in a recycling-oriented society.
In accordance with our Environmental Policy and Green Procurement Guidelines, Graphtec is actively working to provide products and supplies that are free from hazardous substances.
As for supply items, we are actively working on development and improvement to provide products that do not contain hazardous substances, which are not subject to RoHS directive.
Products and supply items compliant with the RoHS Directive will be updated sequentially.

Products containing hazardous substances less than or equal to the RoHS regulation values are marked with the RoHS compliance mark on the outside of the packing box.
